Dharma Wants You Test 2, Broad Spectrum Knowledge Analysis

Dharma Initiative's "Dharma Wants You" has released Test 2!

It is called "Broad Spectrum Knowledge Analysis"

Need the cheats to all the dharma tests? Click here!

You don't get multiple tries on this one. You don't even get to see your score. However, the groups that you can end up in are 1 of 3; Brontes, Steropes or Polyphemus, all names of Cyclops from Greek myth.

The questions I have seen are things like "where was the magna carta signed?", "who developed the vaccination for polio?", "who is the object of Heathcliff's love in Wurthering Heights?"... questions of that nature. The questions are mostly scientific questions but there are also a lot of literary questions thrown in too.

You can click on the image below to see the instructions for this test. Notice the "i" in the title is underlined. Wonder if that means anything? You never know with Lost. :)

The very last question of this test is "What is the answer to this question". You then have to pick A, B, C, or D. This is where the cheat for this test comes in. Find out how to cheat on this test.

Watch for codes in the titles of the tests. The first test, "Pressurized Spacial Judgement Test", wants you to press the space bar PRESSurized SPACial..... see how to do this cheat.

So here's my main questions at the moment:

  • Are we supposed to cheat or are they built in as a moral dilemma?
  • Will we be penalized or rewarded for cheating?
  • Do any of the difficult questions of Test 2 even count or is it only the very last one that makes a difference?
  • Are they wanting us to be observant? It would make sense, as a lot of people are complaining about this game, saying that it is boring and mindless. Dharma could be looking for people that look beyond the surface...
  • What is the significance of the Greek mythology in the groups (under the My Progress tab)?
  • What is the significance of what group you fall into?
Well anyways, I'm taking the cheating route I think. Renee, you should take the non-cheat route... and if it's too late for you, Renee, then someone else that hasn't cheated yet needs to let me know and we'll use you for the experiment!

As for people who think this game is boring and mindless, I think it's very interesting. As you can see, it's causing almost as many questions per test as Lost does per episode! haha

Anyway, leave me a comment and let me know what you think about this Dharma Wants You ARG (alternate reality game). Love it? Hate it? Confused??

Namaste. ;)

3 theories about this:

Okay, I was able to take it with out any problems. Now next to completed it says I am in the Steropes group. Whatever that means.

According to Wikipedia Steropes was one of the three cyclopes from Theogony a greek poem by Hesiod. They were giants with a single eye in the middle of their forehead and a foul disposition. According to Hesiod, they were strong, stubborn, and "abrupt of emotion". Collectively they eventually became synonyms for brute strength and power, and their name was invoked in connection with massive masonry.

So there is that...

Okay, that was weird. The above post was by me not Amanda. She must have been the last one to post something from my laptop.
