Ha! I laughed outloud when I read your comment because that was my exactly experience with Lost University. That sucks. I suppose we've come to expect it with the ARGs now.

I have to say that Lost is making less and less sense every episode. The writers keep adding these storylines that are backed up by nothing. It seems like none of the characters are really aware or care about how bizarre of a situation they are in. Why does John Locke need to die in order for the Oceanic 6 to come back to the island? Why do they need to come back to the island to save the others? Why do none of the characters ask any questions? I mean, we havn't even really gotten a clear answer on what The Others were dong on the island, and Juliet is one of them. Why dosn't she tell them in detail who exactly The Others are, what they were doing on the island, and all the details that she knows about the island. Why don't the rest of them try to get more answers from her. Who are the Dharma initiative? Its obvious that they are doing research and stuff, but I just find it really strange how Sawyer and people don't just ask them wtf is going on? It seems like none of the characters care about getting answers anymore. This show is pissing me off. Anyways, if you missed tonights episode, check it out online here...

Great post, I really agree with all of these things.

Now that we've seen the episode, its obvious that you are right about Locke being the little prince. he leaves his "planet" and the "rose" (perhaps the Island and a combination of the smoke monster and the others (all of whom Locke is responsible for) to travel to "6 adults" before getting to Earth. I believe that you were probably right about Jack being the drunkard, Kate being the geographer, and Hurley being the lamplighter. Sayid is probably the vain man, and Sun is most definately the businessman, but I think that instead of Aaron being the King, Walt is. Remember Lock goes to see Walt as well - and Walt can give orders to adults (remember season one where Michael tells Walt he'll look for the dog as soon as it stops raining and then it stops raining?) I think that those things can be true.

I also think that Ben is the snake. Looking at the previews for next week it seems that Locke must kill himself (almost looks like ben is there when he hangs himself - perhaps ben, like the snake, shows locke how to kill himself so he can get back home again....)

Altho, to me the Conceited Man seems like Locke sometimes, when he gets all whiney because people aren't listening to him, or when he doesn't get his way.

And tho the Drunkard is the very definition of Jack's spiraling self absorption, he also seems like the Geographer, the way he does not trust things that he has not seen with his own eyes. Of course, even when Jack does see it he doesn't believe it! :-D

Maybe people don't remember her because she was prominent in Season 3 - Flashes Before Your Eyes. We watched that episode before the season 5 premiere so it's fresh in our minds.

So possibly Ms Hawking is Faraday's mom and we're just quicker than the casual lost viewer :)

And why didn't we see the radiation link before? It was all there, we just didn't think of it!
